RONNA'S PICKS

Hello ladies!
I'm so excited to do this preschool with you and your kids.
We were cleaning the playroom today and I started getting some ideas for some of my favorite books.  Here are a few topics and what books I thought would be good to use:
1. The importance of sleeping! I would use these books and have the kids dress in PJ's and bring a pillow/stuffed animal.
Llama llama red pajama
The Napping House
Goodnight Moon
2. The importance of exercise and eating healthy.  I would do this the same week as the sleeping one.  I was thinking of having the kids walk to the park(for exercise) and then eating a healthy snack.
Good for Me and You(by Mercer Mayer)
Hey! Wake Up! (by Sandra Boynton)
The Berenstain Bears and Too Much Junk Food

For another week I would talk about the importance of being kind to yourself and to others.
Some of the books that come to mind about self-confidence are:
I Like Me( by Nancy Carlson) I think this might be my favorite!
The story of Ferdinand ( by Munro Leaf)
The Little Engine That Could

For being kind to others:
Stone Soup-I got this from Joy school;)

Obviously these are just some quick ideas but I am loving the idea of doing this Storybook Preschool!
X
Ronna
